CANDISC Tour 2006
Missouri River Ride

CANDISC, Cycling Around North Dakota in Sakakawea Country, is a bicycle ride across some of the greatest frontier of North America. CANDISC will cover 410 miles of hills, dales, highways and scenic roads in North Dakota. You'll taste North Dakota hospitality first hand as communities open their towns to you.

I rode this ride with my son, John, a recent graduate of Hamline School Law. John had just finished his Bar Exams and I was fortunate to have him ride with me, and help me make it through the ride. This is the first "bike tour" that either John, or I, have ever done.

Since I was originally from North Dakota, I have always dreamed of accomplishing the CANDISC ride. This ride included 7 days of riding along the Missouri River in North Dakota.

We began in Garrison, North Dakota at the Fort Stevenson State Park and we our schedule was as follows:
