W E L C O M E (to our own) H O M E!
in Helena Montana USA, home to around 40,000 people,
about 1400 meters above sea level on the east slope of the
continental divide of the North American Rocky Mountains,
about112W by 47N on a common classroom globe. Years ago and
still today to a lesser extent, Helena is a mining center, a
golden motherlode of mineral riches, but it has morphed
through the years to become a fairly ordinary town in "The
Rest of America," the big part of the country between the
coasts. Though I've never actually worked the mines myself,
I have proudly contributed to the delinquency of many a
(Hardrock) Miner. This is a wonderful place to be right now.
