Many years ago, I played in a chess tournament in Missoula. I won some prize money. And the tournament director, Rick Likens wrote me a check. The check bounced. I later heard that all of the prize checks bounced. He still owes me money.
Incidentally, I later heard that Rick became the chess champ of South Dakota.
OK. It was only $6. First place was something like $50. Anyway, I thought that Rick might see this, and take the opportunity to send me a check. Oh well.
